The exhibition “Landscape. Perception of the World”
The exhibition “Landscape. Perception of the World” will run in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus from July 29.
This has always been commontothe human to watch the nature around. Since olden times,painters have been engaged inbeauty of natural landscapes. Originally, the landscape was used as a background to depict thematic sceneries, historical events and portraits.The landscape became a separate genre of the fine arts in the 16th century.It is popular among artists from different countries, schools and trends.
Belarusian landscapes are full of national and romantic mood, lyricism, intimacy and meditativeness. The role of the genre increased and became especially important in the Belarusian fine arts in the second half of the 20th century. Due to significant plastic and compositional resources, bright color approaches, landscape painters display not only the whole beauty of nature, but also provide the audience with their own concept of the world-view.
The ‘Landscape.Perception of the World’ exposition presents about 20 paintings from the collection of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus. They were made by such masters as Ja. Krasowski, K. Kasmachow, M.Kazakievich, L. Shchamialiow and othersin the second half of the 20th century.The audience will lookthe rarely displayed exhibits from the museum’s collections.
The exhibition opens until September 27, 2020.
