The commencement exercises and the opening of the exhibition of the best diploma works by the students of Minsk State Art College named after A. Glebov will take part at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus (Lenin Str., 20) at 3:00 p.m. on June 20, 2019.
The educational institution has graduated many talented painters, sculptors, graphic artists, masters of monumental-decorative and applied and decorative art, fine art experts in these past 70 years. They are people’s artists of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Savitsky, Mai Dantsig, Viktor Gromyko, Arlen Kashkurevich, Leonid Shchemelyov, Georgy Poplavsky, Vitaly Tsvirko, Ivan Misko and many others who are widely known.
Traditionally, young artists (college graduates) obtain diplomas by honorary guests in the country’s leading museum. This year, the honorary guests will be representatives of the Culture Ministry of the Republic of Belarus, the Embassy of Austria in the Republic of Belarus, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Belarus, the Representative Office of Federal Agency for CIS Affairs in the Republic of Belarus, the Administration of the Pervomaisky District of Minsk, heads of museums and art galleries of Minsk, chairmen of civic organizations and foundations as well as representatives of the standing partners of the college – the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus, the National Center for Contemporary Arts, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Union of Artists.
The museum will present the best college graduates’ diploma works during the commencement exercises. The exhibition of the diploma works will be open until June 27, 2019.
