The White Cloud exhibition presents paintings and graphic works of Kyrgyz artists

The White Cloud exhibition presents paintings and graphic works of Kyrgyz artists, based on the books of the writer Chingiz Aitmatov, whose work had a huge impact on the culture of Kyrgyzstan.

Yuristanbek Shygaev, Zhylkychi Zhakypov and Talant Ogobaev are the artists of one generation who claimed themselves in the late eighties – early nineties of the 20th century. Heirs of national traditions, the artists reinterpreted them in accordance with their creative individualities. At the center of their attention are the past and the present of the Kyrgyz people.

The works in the exposition are characterized by the restrained expressiveness accompanied by emotional intensity and lack of detailed action. Same motifs are used by different artists. This unity creates an image of Kyrgyzstan, which includes such features as monumentality of plastic decisions, rhythmic dimensional structure of the composition, sculptural construction, defined by the desire to halt the development of the action and have an opportunity to take a good look and comprehend it.
