Тhe anniversary exhibition of Viktar Gramyka

In 2018, the anniversary exhibition of Viktar Gramyka, the People’s Artist of the Republic of Belarus, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, opens a series of personal exhibitions of the masters who have become classics of Belarusian art in the twentieth century.

The exhibition dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the great painter demonstrates only a small part of the heritage of the talented portrait and landscape painter. Master of narrative painting, he embodied heroism and perseverance of the Belarusian people in the harsh reality of war. For many lovers and connoisseurs of art the name of the artist is strongly associated with monumentality, grandeur, spatiousness and vastness of landscape art. Magnificent landscapes by Viktar Gramyka tell the viewer about floating fogs and plowed fields, about his native land, seen from a bird's eye view, and the solemn sky, about the blue Belarusian lakes and flowering fields of flax. The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus stores about 40 works by the artist, two of which adorn the permanent exhibition. Мore info...
