Traditional Iranian Art from the funds of the Iranian Embassy in the Republic of Belarus
On July 13, 2012 the exhibition «Traditional Iranian Art» from the funds of the Iranian Embassy in the Republic of Belarus will be inaugurated in the branch of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus «The Museum of Belarusian Folk Art in the village of Raubichy».
The Iranian art has been developing overeight thousand years. Some historical monumentsstill exist and they are distinguished by their national colour and attract attention of the connoisseurs of art. Since ancient times artisans widely used all available materials: stone, clay, wood, metal, glass, bone, etc.
In the exposition you will be able to see the hand-made masterpieces made in the most common types of ancient traditional Iranian art – wool carpets, tablecloths and napkins (Kalamkari) made of cotton fabrics, copper tableware, painted with coloured enamel (mina), marquetry (hatam).
The exhibition will run till July 31st, 2012.

Opening times: 10.00–17.00 (Wednesday – Friday), 11.00–19.00 (Saturday – Sunday). Day off: Monday, Tuesday.
