The personal artistic exhibition of Nikolay Seleschuk (1947–1996) was solemnly opened
On 9 September 2012 at 5 pm the personal artistic exhibition of Nikolay Seleschuk (1947–1996) “Between Light and Shadow” dedicated to the 65th birthday of the artist was solemnly opened in the small hall of the museum.
A concert of the ancient Belarusian music band “Tutejszaja Szlachta” (art supervisor Leonid Makhnach) was given in the museum lobby before the opening ceremony.
Director general of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Prokoptsov delivered an opening speech.
Minister of culture of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Latushko; director of the Contemporary Art Museum, Ph.D. in art, researcher Natalya Sharangovich; people’s artist of Belarus Leonid Schemelyov and honoured worker of art of the Republic of Belarus Leonid Dudarenko shared their opinions about the oeuvre of Nikolay Seleschuk and their recollections about him.
The fashion show “Return” inspired by the works by Nikolay Seleschuk under the supervision of Galina Galuzo and with students of secondary school No. 116 participating accompanied the opening ceremony.
After the speeches and attending the exhibition guests and visitors were invited to the museum programme “September Night in the Art Museum”.
