On the 18th of October till the 20th of November 2012
On the 17th of October 2012 at 18.00 p.m. the exhibition opening of a prominent Belarusian sculptor Gennady Vasilyevich Buralkin called “Gennady Buralkin. Sculpture and Graphic Arts” takes place in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus.
There are about 30 sculptures, 20 graphic arts works, and also photos of main monumental works of the master in the exposition: memorial ensemble, dedicated to soldiers-frontiersmen, died in first days of the Great Patriotic War (2004, Grodno); memorial sign «The Tragedy on Nemiga » (1999, Minsk); sculpture composition of the National Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Opera and Ballet of the Republic of Belarus (2009, Minsk) and others.
The exhibition will continue till the 20th of November 2012.
Gennady Vasilyevich Buralkin was born in 1942 in Leninogorsk City, Kazakstan. In 1976 he graduated from the Belarusian Theatre and Art Institute. The sculptor works in the sphere of indoor and monumental sculpture. He is a member of the Belarusian Union of Painters (since 1980), in 1990–2001s he was a chairman of the Belarusian Union of Painters. Also Gennady Buralkin is a participant of republican and international exhibitions (since 1976). His works are in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the Museum of Modern Art (Minsk), The Art Museum of P. Maslenikov (Mogilev), the Art Museum of Flagstaff City in North Carolina (the USA) and others, in private collections in Belarus and out of its borders. Gennady Buralkin lives and creates in Minsk.
