Russian Painting from A. Volodchinsky Collection
From October 5, 2016 to February 6, 2017 the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus features the exhibition of artworks from the collection of Russian collector Alexander Volodchinsky. The exhibition presents over 100 art pieces of 19th – 20th century Russian painting by such artists as Vasily Perov, Ivan Aivazovsky, Ilya Repin, Isaak Levitan, Victor Vasnetsov, Konstantin and Vladimir Makovskys, Alexander Benois, Boris Kustodiev, Mstislav Dobuzhinsky, Nathan Altman and so on. Alexander Volodchinsky’s collection will be interesting both to amateurs of art and painting experts. The exhibition presents art works of genre painting of the second half of the 19th century, Russian landscape, as well as pictures by Peredvizhniki (the Wanderers) and “Russian impressionists”.
