From June 6 to August 7, 2016
Our Collections project presents a new exhibition from June 6, i.e. Classics School: Belarusian and Russian Art of XIX–ХХ cc. More than 80 painting and graphic works found their places in the four halls of the main museum building. The exhibition demonstrates the importance of art tradition continuity. The name of the exhibition is not occasional as it features the works of teachers and their students starting from the professors of St. Petersburg Academy of Art and finishing with Belarusian State Art Academy (in Soviet period – Theatre and Art Institute). Artists’ names speak for themselves : Vorobiov, Khrutsky, Goravsky, Kuindzhi, Shishkin, Ruszczyc, Arkhipov, Polenov, Levitan, Zhukhovsky, Gerasimov, Grabar, Tsvirko, Savitsky, Gromyko, Stelmashonok, Dantsig.
The exhibition will be available for visits to August 7, 2016.
