There was a meeting with Alexandra Wankowicz
There was a meeting with Alexandra Wankowicz and her husband Eduardo Aranda Godlewski (New York, the USA) in the main drawing room of the museum "The Wankowiczes’ House" on March 18. The building of the museum was founded by Alexandra’s ancestor in the 5th generation, Edward Wankowicz, as the mansion two hundred years ago.
The meeting took place during their four-day visit in Belarus that was connected with the conference dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Emeryk Hutten-Czapski (Alexandra’s husband is the descendant of this family).
A group of students-philologists of the Belarusian State University and other visitors took part at the event. Such museum studies and educational programs are worked out by the museum researcher and pedagogue Nadezhda Krasutskaya. They arouse interest and genuine delight by means of wonderful force of original art works; and it seems as if you travel in time.
Alexandra Wankowicz visits her historical native land not for the first time, but she communicated with visitors of the museum for the first time. So the “travel to the 19th century” was more interesting for her, it left warm-hearted impressions. She wished the museum prosperity and success in all its creative initiatives.
