Sing and Dance in a Ring
The exhibition of works of Vyacheslav Dubinka “Sing and Dance in a Ring” will be open on July 23, 2008 at 17 o’clock. It presents ornamental art tracery and towels executed in “vytinanka” technique.
Vytinanka is a tracery with a plot or an ornamental art tracery which is cut out of paper with help of sartorial scissors or knife. It appeared in the territory of Belarus in the 18th –19th centuries.
Vyacheslav Dubinka was born in 1941 in Slutsk, Minsk Oblast. Worked as a builder and photojournalist. Has high prizes and diplomas as a participant of the International photo and “vytinanka” exhibitions Died in 1978 in Minsk. He is a member of the Belarusian Unions of Journalists, Masters of People’s Applied Art, Artists, and Writers.
He is awarded the Frantsysk Skaryna Diploma for the design of the book “Live Letters” (1984) by Artur Volsky. Wrote about 10 books.
