Siamion Damarad was born in Babrujsk on October 2, 1948. He made his first steps in art under the guidance of his father Uladzimir Damarad, a prominent graphic artist. In 1958-1964, Siamion Damarad studied at the art studio of the Babrujsk Pioneer House directed by Barys Bialiaew. In 1968 he graduated from the Aliaksej Glebaw Minsk Art College, and in 1976 from the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts). He studied under the famous Belarusian artists, including Gawryil Vashchanka, Uladzimir Stelmashonak and Anatol Baranowsky.

The first solo exhibition of Siamion Damarad was held in 1972. In 1985, he became a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists.

During his creative life, Siamion Damarad worked in different genres, such as monumental painting, portrait and still-life. But in the last twenty years landscape has been his favorite genre. For a long time Siamion Damarad was known as one of the best Belarusian watercolorists. And although in recent years he gave preference to painting, his work is still influenced by watercolor techniques. Though treated in realistic manner, his landscapes remain surprisingly romantic and poetic. The artist avoids sharp contrasts, his colors are soft, but emotionally saturated, full of light and air. His artistic worldview is impressionistic, his landscapes are the "mood landscapes". The painter seeks to capture the impression of the passing moment. Therefore, on his canvases he often depicts spring and autumn, evening and morning – the transient states of nature, when its variability manifests itself in a particularly intensive manner.

The works of Siamion Damarad found their viewer not only in Belarus, but also abroad. His solo exhibitions were held in Belarus (Minsk, Babrujsk), Germany (Munich, Mainz), Austria (Kufstein, Sheffau). In 2017, the artist's works were exhibited at the Palace of Independence in Minsk and at the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin. Siamion Damarad participates in group exhibitions in Belarus and in other countries.

In 2011, Siamion Damarad was awarded the prize of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.

Works of Siamion Damarad are exhibited at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, National Center for Contemporary Arts in Minsk, Pavel Maslenikaw Mahilioŭ Regional Art Museum, Maksim Bagdanovich Literary Museum, Belarusian Union of Artists, National Library of Belarus, Palace of Independence of the Republic of Belarus, Europe Hotel (Minsk), and at the private collections in Belarus, Austria, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Russia, China, Great Britain, USA and Canada.
